Coastal Garden Concept

The Sebastopol Residence is a comprehensive backyard renovation designed to transform an underutilized outdoor space into a functional and inviting environment for relaxation, entertaining, and gardening. The design blends contemporary hardscape elements with naturalistic planting to create a series of interconnected outdoor rooms that extend the home's living space. 

The landscape features a spacious paver patio, custom deck with shade sails, hot tub retreat, decorative gravel pathways, raised vegetable gardens, stacked retaining walls, and thoughtfully layered planting beds that provide year-round texture and seasonal color. A secluded sitting area offers a quiet destination within the garden, while the circulation throughout the property creates a cohesive and comfortable outdoor experience. 

The goal was to create a modern, low-maintenance landscape that balances beauty and functionality while incorporating sustainable planting, edible gardens, and flexible gathering spaces for everyday living and entertaining. The final design enhances the property's usability while creating a welcoming outdoor environment that complements the home's architecture.
